HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

We spent the day in Oakley and went to their annual parade. It was a cute parade and the girls had a blast. Makenzee and Kambree had fun chasing after candy and waving at all of the floats and horses while Brynlee spent most of her time sleeping in the backpack.

After the parade we went to the Oakley Junior Rodeo and Makenzee and her cousins tried catching chickens. Luckily they weren't fast enough because the rule was that if you caught the chicken you had to take it home with you. Great job on missing the chicken Kenz! They also went out in the arena to chase a sheep that had money attached to it. Makenzee was so excited until they released a two year old cow instead. Her eyes went huge, her mouth gaped open and she practically flew over the fence and got the heck out of there FAST! Of course she wasn't afraid of the cow, she just changed her mind that's all! Kambree loved watching all of the kids and animals run wild!

The girls were pretty hot after the rodeo so we went over to the park where the fire truck was spraying all of the kids with the fire hose. Makenzee thought that was the funnest thing ever! They laughed their heads off trying to out run the hose. At one point, the hose sprayed Ashley in the back and knocked her smack on her belly and she bounced across the grass three times before she finally stopped!

We went to the indoor pool in Oakley to cool off from all of the holiday festivities. They had a high dive and Makenzee dared herself to jump off of it. She LOVED it and jumped off again and again and again!

Kambree LOVES the water so she probably had the most fun out of anybody, especially since her crazy Daddy was there making her laugh! She even went down the water slide a time or two!

Brynlee spent most of her time hanging out with Grandpa Rob watching everyone play. Although she did dip her toes in the pool a few times and seemed to like it.

That night we went to a BBQ at my friend Judy's house. We had a great time hanging out with good friends, eating lots and lots of delicious food, playing guitar hero and watching all of the fireworks from her deck. The fireworks display was so good this year although Kambree was afraid and buried her face in Burt's shoulder. Brynlee slept through the whole thing on my shoulder and Makenzee had fun watching them in the hammock with her friend Mallory. It was a great day spent with family and friends!
