April Fools Prank Backfires

Makenzee had been plotting her April Fools' Day prank for weeks, so when the fun day finally arrived, she could hardly stand it! She woke up early to get ready for school and bandaged up her shoulder and put her arm in a sling. She made up this big, elaborate story about how she was doing a round off back-handspring at gymnastics, and her arms buckled, and she fell and sprained her arm and would have to be in a sling for at least two weeks. Her plan was to fake the injury the entire day and then raise her hand right before the bell rang and ask her teacher if she could make an announcement. Then she was going to shake the "injured" arm all over like a crazy lady and say, April Fools! Sadly, her plan backfired on her. At the end of the day when she raised her hand and asked her teacher if she could make an announcement, he politely but firmly told her no and asked her to sit down. She came home from school so bummed because her whole class still believed that she was injured.
